Van of the future?

Not more than few years ago, mini used vans were considered exotic and ugly. As far as beauty is concerned they are still far behind their sedan cousins (there are few exceptions) but this is not what minivans are all about. When we think of a practical van that is small enough to fit in a crowded city and big enough to fit a two plus two family, then a mini van is the best solution. One out of five small vans is indeed a mini van. In 2004, nearly 700 thousand were sold in Western Europe. In 2005, this figure was 30% more. Surprisingly, small vans have the most admirers amongst Germans. The Vauxhall (Opel) Meriva was a great success in the country of beer and sausages.
