Van Hire
Recently my van experienced and unexpected error in the electrics, which meant that I had to call out the AA to come and collect it after breaking down on the motorway. If that wasn’t enough to cause problems, I was unpleasantly surprised to hear that my insurance company were not willing to provide me with a replacement van as it wasn’t in the original agreement (read the small print guys). So, without any assistance being provided, I must now hire a van; most probably from the used vans section of my local hire dealership. Being that there are so many different Websites online these days, you could be forgiven for not knowing where to turn in terms of obtaining credit for a car. Also, with the industry as it is – obtaining finance for a vehicle purchase is no easy feat as there is less and less lenders offering such options to buyers. With this being the case then – finding a trusted and reliable finance house is vital to those fortunate enough to qualify for finance. One site that I can highly recommend then is the Car Credit Assured Website, which is part of Vertu Motors – the 10th largest car retailer in the UK. Having personally dealt with this company I am in a very good position to judge their level of performance and offers. One of the best things about dealing with these people was the customer service that they provided, which I must say was first class and made me feel comfortable that I was getting a good deal on my car. Cars Purchased on Credit
With a car upgrade in mind, I must start to think about the different cars available and the types of car credit on offer. Instead of exchanging my current vehicle, I am thinking of entering into a car leasing or hire purchase agreement instead. Therefore I may well sell my current car and use the cash as a deposit for such a package. I understand that by entering into such agreements, in effect, I am only hiring a car for a certain amount of time. However, with thins the way they are in the new and used cars market, I think it may well be my best option. One of the benefits of such procedures is that I will inherit a nice new vehicle that has a 2008 registration plate and so will have all the benefits that new cars bring. Read the rest of this post »
Buying Cars
So what do we look for when buying a car? Well I like to go in with an open mind and not have a certain car make or model that I wish to buy. By doing this, it allows me to have an untarnished view of all the different cars on show. Obviously budget needs to be considered beforehand and to a degree engine size. However, in a way, the two go hand in hand as usually a bigger engine will represent more cost. Next up for me is whether or not to buy used or brand new. Whilst I really love new cars, I find that the initial expense and immediate loss in terms of vehicle depreciation are just too much. However, as many people will no doubt agree – the smell and feeling of a new car is something very special. Knowing full well that it hasn’t been driven by anyone else just adds that little bit extra feeling.
