Buying Cars

So what do we look for when buying a car? Well I like to go in with an open mind and not have a certain car make or model that I wish to buy. By doing this, it allows me to have an untarnished view of all the different cars on show. Obviously budget needs to be considered beforehand and to a degree engine size. However, in a way, the two go hand in hand as usually a bigger engine will represent more cost. Next up for me is whether or not to buy used or brand new. Whilst I really love new cars, I find that the initial expense and immediate loss in terms of vehicle depreciation are just too much. However, as many people will no doubt agree – the smell and feeling of a new car is something very special. Knowing full well that it hasn’t been driven by anyone else just adds that little bit extra feeling. So, in most cases, I tend to look at the used cars section of a showroom so that my emotions don’t lead me to the new section! A cars exterior is also very important for me; colour, shape, accessories (such as a grill or spoiler) and very importantly; the wheels. I am very much a man who loves his alloys and the bigger the better! Parelli tyres are my all time favourite as their performance is just great. I always look out for cars that have Parelli tyres and if they don’t – I usually upgrade if the purse strings allow me to do so! I find that many Audi cars indeed have such tyres, which no doubt contributes to their wonderful performance reputation. After examining the vehicles exterior and monitoring any scratches etc, I then pay extra attention to the interior and especially the seats; they must be leather! I refuse to buy a car that has cloth seating as it reminds me of the olden days! Things have advanced now and so any car that I purchase; either new or used – must have leather seats! Once the interior is examined it is then time to talk about the purchase with the seller. Buying from them is a totally different ball game….
